How does Protection On Demand (P.O.D.) HELP ensure your safety?

Protection On Demand is the only app and service that connects you with verified security guards or protective agents from licensed local companies. With a tap, your request goes to the nearest available guard or agent who accepts within seconds to a minute or two.

Once accepted, you'll get:



  • The guard/agent’s name and photo
  • Company details
  • Vehicle info and license plate photo
  • In-app randomized contact number for calling or texting
  • Automated payment via Stripe after service completion

P.O.D. Safety Tips: Recommendations for Staying Safe

FlashlightNOW is dedicated to promoting your safety and security. The FlashlightNOW Protection On Demand mobile application establishes direct contact with licensed security companies and their qualified guards and protective agents.


If you have sustained an injury or feel you are in imminent danger, please contact 911 immediately. 


Upon requesting a service, a nearby guard is notified of your general location and the nature of the request. Detailed location information becomes available to the guard only after they have accepted your request.


Once a guard accepts your service request, you will receive the following information:

  • Agent’s name and photo
  • Name of the licensed security company
  • Vehicle description and license plate number


You can use the app to safely message or call the guard, making it easy to share instructions or address any service details. To protect your privacy and security, our system generates a unique random number for every event, which is used by both you and the guard.


After the guard has accepted your job request:

  • Monitor the agent’s progress towards your location and note the estimated arrival time within the app.
  • If possible, message or call the guard to provide additional details regarding your service request.
  • Provide additional details about the exact service location or specific meeting point, if required.
  • Remain vigilant regarding your surroundings and potential hazards.


Upon arrival, please verify the guard’s identity using the information supplied within the application:

  • Request the guard’s name and company-issued identification card
  • Verify that the photograph displayed within the application corresponds to the individual currently present.
  • Verify the make and model of the vehicle
  • Confirm the vehicle license plate number
  • Ensure the uniform corresponds to the licensed security company


Do not engage with any guard whose information in the application does not correspond with your observations.

How is a provider of training, consulting, and specialized services verified and qualified to participate in the marketplace?

Consulting and Training services are offered by companies, individual providers, and public safety professionals that, through a combination of experience, education and certifications, have developed a demonstrable expertise in one or more areas. We verify the advertised certifications of providers before allowing them to exchange services on our platform.

Does FlashlightNow Operate as a Broker, Intermediary, or Provide Subcontracting Services Comparable to Major Companies?

No, FlashlightNow offers innovative online marketplace and software platforms that connect you directly with qualified, licensed local service providers. This approach streamlines the process by removing intermediaries and reducing unnecessary searches, thereby saving both time and costs while ensuring higher accountability and improved service quality.

How is a provider determined qualified to join the Marketplaces

  • Providers of these regulated services must follow the state and local laws that apply to their profession. To get a license, they must meet the regulations set by a state licensing board. They receive a license only after fulfilling the required steps.
  • FlashlightNOW verifies provider licenses at registration and conducts routine audits to ensure continued validity. Providers whose licenses lapse or who engage in illegal activity or misconduct will be suspended or removed from the platform. Customers may report any concerns or misconduct directly to FlashlightNOW.

As operators of these marketplaces and software platforms, our goal is to connect you with qualified professionals. We only profit when you and your provider successfully work together—specifically, we auto collect a modest % based fee from the provider whenever you pay an invoice.

How To Create Your Safe & Sound Online Market Place Account?

  1. Create your free account here.
  2. Fill out your details on the registration form, then select “Sign up as a customer or guard” at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Verify your email address. 
  4. Sign in and complete your profile. Your account must be finished before you can message or hire any providers. Completing this step only takes a few minutes.
  5. Once your account information is finished, you can search, message, and hire providers.
  6. Works on POD App

Request A Quote

  1. Choose a provider you’d like to request a quote from.
  2. Click “Request a Quote” in the top right corner of your screen. 
  3. A request form will automatically populate. 
  4. Fill in as much information and detail as you can to receive the most accurate quote from the provider. 
  5. Click the “Request Quote” button at the bottom of the form to send it to the provider.

How To Message A Provider?

  • Choose a provider you’d like to contact.
  • Click “Send a Message” in the top right corner of your screen. 
  • Type your message and hit send.
  • To access new messages, select the message bubble located in the upper right corner and choose “View All” to open your personal inbox.

Coming soon: You will be able to request quotes from three separate providers simultaneously.

How To Hire A Provider?

  1. Login to your account and click “Find Services” to search for a provider. You will be taken to the Find Services page.
  2. To find providers in a specific area, simply enter a zip code or city name. For more precise results, use the filters on the left to choose the services and skills you're interested in.
  3. Click “Apply” to see providers that match your criteria.
  4. Click a provider's icon to view their profile, then use "Send a Message" or "Request a Quote" for pricing. Messaging is optional; requesting a quote is required to hire. Have your event date, time, and location ready.
  5. After reviewing your information, the provider will send you a contract through your messages. To see the provider’s estimate, simply click “View Contract” within your messages.
  6. You may choose to either accept or decline the contract. Acceptance of the contract confirms your reservation of the provider for your event and signifies agreement with all policies outlined in the provider’s contract.
  7. After you accept the contract, it will appear in your list of events. You can view both upcoming and past events at any time by clicking on the "My Events" tab in your dashboard header. Additionally, you can contact the provider directly at any time through your messages.

How To Search For A Provider?

  1. Visit the find services page
  2. Type in your preferred city or zip code to find a provider in that area.
  3. Refine your choices by selecting particular services and skills from the left-hand column.
  4. After you click “Apply,” a list of providers that match your request will appear.

Changing Your Password

  1. Login to your account. 
  2. Select the profile icon located in the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. Click “Change Password.” 
  4. Enter your current and new password. 
  5. Click “Save” to update your password.

Reset Your Password

  1. Visit the FlashlightNOW sign-in page.
  2. Click “Forgot Password?” 
  3. Enter your email address. 
  4. If you have a FlashlightNOW account, a password reset link will be sent to your email inbox. Click the link to complete the password reset process.
  5. If the email doesn't appear in your inbox, be sure to look in your spam folder.

How To Deactivate Your Flashlightnow Account?

Should you wish to delete your account, please contact us at support@flashlightnow.com.  In your email, please: 


  1. State your name, your job title, and the organizational authority that allows you to change the status of accounts.
  2. Please specify the account or accounts you wish to have removed.
  3. Since deleting is irreversible, we’ll need to verify your identity and confirm your request before completing the process.
  4. After your request has been processed, your personal, organizational, or company information will be permanently deleted. Only certain details, as outlined in the Privacy Policy (Link), may be retained if required or permitted by law.
  5. After your account is deleted, data recovery will not be possible. Access to the account cannot be restored or reactivated. However, you may create a new account if you wish.
